SEPTEMBER 2024
The Term 1 examinations started on the 2nd of September and went on till September 13 for students of grades 5-12.
The students of the junior school celebrated Teachers day on September 5. A loving tribute was paid to the teachers in the form of songs and dance.
On Sept 13th Onam celebrations took place for the students of Prep 1- grade 4. Students came in the traditional onam attire. They put up several programmes reminding one of the essence of the festival. The arrival of Maveli was the highlight of the event.
Excelsior English School participated in the Central Sahodaya Conclave, 2nd Inter School Roller Skating Championship, where our talented students showcased their skills and determination. Their hard work paid off, as we earned several medals and proudly secured the overall second position. Congratulations to all participants for their outstanding efforts and sportsmanship!

Jemima Ann Chacko of Grade XII B secured 1st prize, and Malaika Miriam Kurian of Grade XI B secured 2nd prize in the “Brilliant Minds” essay competition organized by Talks India.
Talks India, a monthly lecture series held at KSP Menon Hall, Kottayam, brings together eminent speakers from India and abroad, offering students and the public an opportunity to engage with distinguished guests.

The 12th Inter-school debate competition was conducted by Excelsior English School on 25th October 2024. There were two categories for the debate, the Junior category includes students of grades 8-10 and Senior category includes students of grades 11 & 12 . The topic for the debate for Senior category was Technological advancement is an invasion of one’s right to freedom and human autonomy. And for Junior Category it was Misinformation on social media is a bigger threat to democracy than foreign interference. 9 teams participated in the senior category, while 6 teams took part for the junior category. N. M. Joseph Neerackal ever rolling trophy was awarded to the Chinmaya Vidhyalaya in the senior category for the best team .Ever rolling trophy of N J Chacko Neroth was secured by Mar Baselious Public School who was the best team in the junior category. Malayalam essay writing competition for the Ever rolling trophy instituted by Dr. Monsi George and Ms. Elizabeth Monsi was awarded to Mar Baselios Public school. The merit list for the Malayalam essay writing is as follows: 1 position – Neha Susan Mathew – Mar Baselios Public School, 2 position – Nandana V Nair ( The Baker Vidyapeedh) & Brinda Maria Binu (BMM Sr sec school), 3 position – Kuriakose Mathew. The Regional Youth Festival Bhavasutha under the banner Central Sahodaya Conclave, Kottayam was conducted on October 23 & 24 at The Baker Vidyapeedh Senior Secondary School, Kottayam. Our students performed in an
exemplary manner bringing several accolades to the school. We have secured the over all 3rd position & the runner up position in categories 2 & 4. Mathew Binoy (category 4) was awarded Best Actor prize and Neriah Anna Rajesh (category 2) declared Kalathilakam of this category.
