SIGN LANGUAGE PROJECT

This sign language programme initiated by the Student Council is a remarkable initiative that brings awareness and inclusivity to our school community. By introducing basic sign language lessons at the beginning of the school day, each student council member is actively participating in enhancing communication skills and fostering a more inclusive environment.
Learning sign language promotes empathy, understanding, and diversity among students. By equipping students with basic sign language skills, we are not only empowering them to communicate with those who are deaf or hard of hearing but also promoting a culture of respect and acceptance for individuals with different abilities. Sign language can come of use in times of trouble too. In conclusion by embracing diversity and fostering understanding through initiatives like this, we are not only enriching our educational experience but also building a more compassionate and inclusive community within our school.
